In partnership with Center for Hope Ministries (1801 West Hovey Normal, Illinois), Illinois Fusion would like to announce a FOOD DRIVE, benefitting those in our community with need. This is a great opportunity for our student athletes to get involved in community service and a worthy cause. The economy has affected many and now more than ever, our neighbors here in Central Illinois need our help. Please consider donating non-perishable food items and personal, household items. Examples of items needed by Center for Hope Ministries are: Any Pasta or Rice mixes, any canned vegetables, fruit/fruit mixes or other canned goods (such as canned meats, stews, tuna fish/salmon, chicken, etc). Other personal items needed include laundry detergent products, toothpaste, mouthwash, unopened tooth brushes, bar soaps & deodorants.
With Indoor Winter Training starting on Saturday December 3, 2011, Collection Bins will be on site at Game Time Gym. As our athletes head out the door each Saturday for Winter training, please dont forget about the needy and hungry here in our community. Your non-perishable food donations will be collected weekly & brought to Center for Hope Ministries. For additional information please contact board@illinoisfusion.com or Dianna Cordero via email at mccord91@gmail.com or phone: 309-827-0552.
Established in 2007, the Illinois Fusion Soccer Association works to benefit the youth of Central Illinois by providing quality instruction in the game of soccer.
We focus on the development of each player, striving to find appropriate challenges so each individual is surrounded with players who can provide the proper setting and nationally licensed coaches who can create the proper environment to improve. We research the latest information on youth development from across the globe to insure we give our players the proper focus and tools to succeed. At the youngest ages, we look for incremental ways for players to measure success so they always feel they are improving. A player who feels he/she is improving is excited to train and has fun developing the skills necessary to become a competitive player as they grow older.
Illinois Fusion is also a proud host of the Illinois Fusion Spring Shootout, which has most recently brought in nearly 150 teams to the Bloomington/Normal area from all over the Midwest.
"Illinois Fusion has put together one of the most qualified coaching staffs not only in Illinois, but of any youth soccer club in the country. Because of their infrastructure, player development philosophy and commitment to support our programs, Illinois Fusion has earned the seal of approval from the Illinois Youth Soccer Association to become an Olympic Development Program designated club."
- Ian Mulliner, Director of Coaching, IYSA
