Illinois Fusion welcomes Myron King as DOC!

Myron King

The Illinois Fusion Board of Directors would like to welcome Myron King as the club’s new Director of Coaching effective February 13, 2012. The Board would also like to take this opportunity to thank Craig Lee who is pursuing a career as an educator & teacher. Craig has been with Fusion since our inception in 2007.

Myron King comes to the Land of Lincoln from the Lone Star state where he served as Director of Coaching for the Dallas Texans in College Station. He has over 20 years of collective coaching experience in the US (including 7 years of DOC experience in competitive travel clubs) and across the pond in Northern Ireland. The Fusion search committee found that Myron shares the Fusion vision of the importance of player development. He also shares the excitement of helping Illinois Fusion achieve our greatest future potential. Myron has his “A” license and is a strong supporter of coaching education & development. Myron and his wife Kate are excited to be a part of the Bloomington-Normal community and closer to family in Chicago & Buffalo, NY. The King’s are also looking forward to experiencing seasonal weather reminiscent of what Myron experienced growing up in Northern Ireland.

Craig & Myron are working closely together for a smooth transition this spring; Craig will continue to coach while helping Myron transition into the club & DOC role. The Board of Directors expect to have a “meet and greet” reception for Myron soon, prior to the Spring 2012 portion of the season starting. Please look for more details coming soon!!
